Introduction to Calligraphy Workshop

Join Alison Jane Calligraphy for a peaceful 2.5-hour beginners’ calligraphy workshop.

Have you ever wanted to write beautifully - to personalise cards, gift tags or even wedding stationery? This relaxed session is the perfect place to begin.

You’ll learn the foundations of modern calligraphy, from how to hold and use a dip pen, to forming letters and creating words and phrases. Along the way, I’ll share plenty of tips and tricks, and there’ll be time for personal guidance and support.

As always, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming — a mindful moment in your week, where creativity and conversation flow. We’ll also enjoy delicious tea and cake during the session too!
