Books, music, tapas and a summer evening in the Meadow Garden...
Join us on Thursday 27 August for a special Tapas & Tunes with award-winning author Claire Fuller and live acoustic music from her son, Henry Ayling.
🕠 5.30pm – Arrive & drinks
🎤 5.45pm – Claire Fuller in conversation with former Stockbridge Bookshop owner Elaine Sperber, followed by a Q&A
🎸 6.20pm – Live music with Henry Ayling
🍽️ 6.30pm – Tapas served in the Meadow Garden
Claire, the Women's Prize-shortlisted and Costa Award-shortlisted author of Unsettled Ground, will be talking about her writing, her acclaimed novels, and her latest book, Hunger & Thirst—a compelling new novel set in Winchester. She might even share a glimpse of what's next... including which of her novels are heading to the big screen.
As the evening unfolds, Henry Ayling will provide the soundtrack with beautifully crafted acoustic guitar. A Bristol-based musician who performs at events across the UK and writes music for film, Henry's relaxed, expressive style is the perfect accompaniment to a summer evening at Meadow.
📖 Books will be available to buy, and Claire will be signing copies on the night.
