Pascale Cumberbatch is Meadow's Artist in Residence this summer.

About Pascale Cumberbatch

A British-French artist, Pascale works across painting, drawing, photography and printmaking, drawing on the visual poetry of flowers. Painting from memory and imagination, she uses simple lines and shapes to capture mood rather than precise detail: the exuberance of a bouquet, the melancholy of a wilted bloom, the anticipation of nature in bud.

She studied Anthropology at UCLA and Photography at the University of the Arts, London, before completing an MA in Contemporary Fine Art at Oxford Brookes in 2015.

She works from Magdalen Road Studios in Oxford and finds continual inspiration at her home in France.
